On October 5th I was honored to serve as an Honorary Co-Chair of the 30th annual AIDS Walk Wisconsin and 5K Run. I served along with Mondo Guerra and Naina Khanna and we all had a very uplifting experience speaking with hundreds of donors supporting the fight against AIDS – individuals and corporate sponsors. For me, it was an even greater honor because I have come to know and appreciate the AIDS service organization that is funded through this event – the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. ARCW operates the only federally-recognized HIV medical home model of care in the country. Their health care outcomes are among the best in the country and all of their services are offered regardless of ability to pay. They are going national, too, with clinics currently in Denver and St. Louis.
So if you want to make my birthday even greater, make a gift and know that it will help others see their 65th and beyond.
