The HIV/STI Leadership Fund

Application:

For the sake of simplicity and expediency, the Fund is using the Wisconsin Common Grant Application and the following eligibility guidelines to make the first round of awards. 

Eligibility:

  • Incorporated nonprofit organizations with current 501(c)3 status
  • Local units of government, including public, private, choice and charter schools

Funded activities:

Applicants should indicate how they will serve populations most at-risk and impacted by HIV and STIs in and around Milwaukee. Both promising novel approaches as well as established and effective strategies related to the following activities will be considered for funding:

  1. HIV and STI counseling, testing and referral services
  2. Access to safer sex materials, especially condom access
  3. Outreach, counseling and education programs, with an emphasis on social media and dating applications

Number of awards and maximum funding amount:

The Fund anticipates making five (5) awards of up to $50,000

Funding period:

The Fund expects projects to be for no more than one year. Projects should be ready to begin within 30 days of award notice.

Deadline:

The Fund will use a rolling deadline and anticipates moving expediently to make grant awards. Organizations are encouraged to submit applications as quickly as possible.

Format and submission:

Application packages, including the program budget, should be consolidated into one pdf document and be sent to Bill Keeton, ARCW Vice President and Chief Advocacy Officer electronically at bill.keeton@arcw.org. The narrative section should be no more than 8 pages, 12 point font, single spaced.
