Psychotherapist (Therapist), Behavioral Health & Wellness Clinic —
Eau Claire and La Crosse

The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Inc. (ARCW) is seeking a full-time Psychotherapist to provide patient centered, best-practice and evidence-based behavioral health and wellness services under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Associate Director and the Director of the Behavioral Health and Wellness Clinic. The position is split between ARCW offices in Eau Claire and La Crosse. A candidate who only wants to provide services in either Eau Claire or La Crosse will be considered on a part-time basis. An experienced candidate who has functioned independently yet worked as a member of a larger state-wide network of providers is preferred.

The Psychotherapist will provide individual, couple and family psychotherapy services including intake, assessment, treatment planning, therapy, discharge planning and follow-up care. The Psychotherapist will also participate in the delivery of other behavioral health and wellness services that are guided by educational, psycho-educational, and psychotherapeutic perspectives. The Psychotherapist will support and enhance departmental functioning by engaging in various administrative duties and tasks.

Competitive candidates will have an accredited Masters degree in counseling, social work or marriage and family therapy. Candidates must be licensed through the State of Wisconsin as a LCSW, LPC or LMFT. Prior experience providing mental health services is required. Candidates should have an understanding of a variety of best practices and knowledge and sensitivity to HIV/AIDS issues. Excellent written and oral communication skills and a solid understanding of computers and database systems, including use of an electronic health record are also required.

A valid Wisconsin driver’s license, reliable vehicle and insurable driving record are essential. Certification as a substance abuse counselor is a plus. The review process will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.


Director of Major Gifts — Milwaukee

The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Inc. (ARCW) is seeking a dynamic leader to join the ARCW Development Department as the Director of Major Gifts.  The candidate selected for this newly created position will work in conjunction with the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer to prospect, recruit and maintain major gifts from individuals for ARCW.

ARCW is a full service statewide AIDS service organization with an annual budget exceeding $30 million.  ARCW provides HIV prevention, health, pharmacy, social and advocacy services throughout Wisconsin.

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing fund raising strategies to meet development goals for individual major gifts
  • Developing innovative strategies for increasing the number of major donors
  • Providing stewardship to and soliciting major gifts from donors via face to face meetings
  • Providing strategic direction for direct and electronic mail solicitation of donors by assuring that campaigns include appropriate themes and messaging regarding ARCW and opportunities for support
  • Developing annual budget and monitoring budget performance
  • Utilizing the Raisers Edge database to document and track the history of a donor’s relationship to ARCW

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in a related field and have a minimum of five to seven years of successful experience soliciting five-figure gifts. Knowledge of the principles and ethics of fund raising and trends within the fund development profession are required. Demonstrated effectiveness in building philanthropic relationships and prior budget management experience are a must. Prior knowledge of the Raisers Edge database is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a knowledge of and sensitivity to HIV/AIDS issues.  Candidates must have reliable transportation, an insurable driving record and be willing to travel throughout Wisconsin in support of fund raising. Bi-lingual is Spanish is a plus.


Psychiatrist, Behavioral Health & Wellness Clinic — Milwaukee

The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Inc. (ARCW) is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide patient-centered, best-practice and evidence-based psychiatry care in coordination with members of the behavioral health and medical center staff. Approximately 44 hours per month will be spent in Milwaukee with web-based care provided to the Green Bay and/or Kenosha sites.

The Psychiatrist will provide services to patients through referrals from medical and behavioral health and wellness staff, giving priority to urgent, complex and uninsured patients. The Psychiatrist will conduct assessments and evaluation (intakes), provide a DSM-IV-TR appropriate diagnosis, prescribe medication, assess and evaluate medication management and provide follow-up care to patients.

Competitive candidates will have: a MD or DO certified in Psychiatry, State of Wisconsin licensure and DEA licensure (to handle and prescribe controlled substances); thorough knowledge of behavioral health practice standards, specifically psychiatry; experience in providing psychiatric services; adherence to the code of ethics for the profession of Psychiatry; knowledge and sensitivity to HIV/AIDS issues and a solid understanding of computers and database systems. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also required. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license, reliable vehicle and insurable driving record are essential. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
